Our theme of this month:
Wetland Wonders
A fairly broad topic, but basically – a fantasy/sci-fi/whatever set against the backdrop of the wetlands. Concepts can range from vehicles to fashion to creatures to characters…to whatever (again). The time line is anonymous, and try to focus on an element to challenge yourself with. (For example, focusing on lighting, or dynamic poses, etc.)
Edit 11/19/2009: Now a joint venture with the Lost Boys concept, the Wetland Wonders will be the imaginary setting of the Raccoon twins. There will be two main set pieces that will be elaborated on: The Marketplace, and The Home. The location is basically an over-flooded Jungle, with mangroves and cool strangler figs as the building blocks for this world. (the name will probably be dubbed, ‘The Swampland Kingdom” or something to that effect by the twins.)
Rough Deadlines: Every Friday of this month, excluding the last week.

Definition of a wetland. Apparently it’s the most biologically diverse of all ecosystems, and includes bogs, marshes, and swamps. I had no idea there was a difference between them, hahah.
Hmm…. Note To Self: must not confuse ‘wetland’ with ‘swamp’ should any ideas start to move towards a darker, edgier mood. Or would that REALLY be a bad thing?
Dude, I think mis-interpretation is always more awesome than reality (well, sometimes more awesome). Swamp just sounds janky though, doesn’t it?
Well, our first meeting was a “flying success”, hahaha. I think the next time we meet, we probably should sit down with it more, ja? XD
LOL I heartily agree. Hopefully next week will start to see a relative slow-down in life, that way we have more time for Wetland Wonderfulness ^_^
